 Description

St Agnes Museum tells the story of the village - mining, minerals, natural history and local worthies.  There are portraits by Edward and John Opie ('The Cornish Wonder') and a display on the railways (the Chacewater-Newquay Branchline is celebrated in our 'Brunel 200' exhibition).  We also have displays featuring the 'Lady Agnes' figurehead, the lost harbour and our amazing leatherback turtle.  There is a quiz for the children as well as the story of the turtle, plus a great shop and free parking in the village.
