Introduction:
Porthcurno was one of the most important communication centres in the world from the Victorian Empire through two world wars and into the modern era. It has a world class scientific and historical collection housed in the original Victorian Telegraph Station and WWII underground bunkers. Run by professional education and curatorial staff.

Details:
This is an award winning museum which has been featured in the TES for the quality of its education provision. Schools can expect a full day's worth of activities which are designed around the needs of pupils. Individual requests or requirements can be catered for by prior arrangement. All sessions are based on the science and history of communication and its global and local impact on communities and individuals. Workshops last all day and include presentations, talks, activity sessions and trails around the site. Indoor and outdoor lunch facilities available.
