 Description

King Edward is typical of many small Cornish mines of the first decade of the 20th Century. Remarkably it has survived almost intact and today is the oldest complete mine site in Cornwall. All of the buildings are Listed Grade 2 star which means that they are considered to be of national importance.  The Mineral Tramways Great Flat Lode Trail passes through the site and the Mineral Tramways exhibition can be seen in the old calciner.  Visit the museum and then explore the local mining archaeology.
