Museum Description
Geevor, situated amid the dramatic scenery of Cornwall's Atlantic coast, is the largest mining history site in the UK. Here you can see how tin was mined and then processed. Whilst on site, you are free to explore the many surface buildings - including the museum - at your own pace. There is a well-stocked gift shop and a cafe with home-cooked food. The highlight of the visit is a guided underground tour to experience conditions in a genuine 18th century mine. Geevor offers educational workshops and a lively programme of events and exhibitions.
