Saltash Heritage 10 October 2006
The museum's recent special exhibition - 'On the Right Track', celebrating Brunel 200 - proved immensely popular.
The museum also participated in many local Brunel celebrations in Saltash, including organising a visit to Swindon Steam Museum and a visit to the S.S. Great Britain in Bristol. They have received £36,000 for an Archaeological Survey of the Tamarside.
The museum has also received funding for a joint project with the South East Cornwall Museums Forum for our 'People and Places' project, where the photographic collection will be digitised and copied to a laptop, allowing access by the community. The museum is currently working towards Accreditation and intends to produce an exhibition next year to celebrate the centenary of the Boy Scout Movement.
