Telegraph Museum hosts UK premiere art film screening

An original art film shot in Cornwall and first screened at the Louvre in 2013 will make its UK debut at the Telegraph Museum Porthcurno on Saturday 26th April in an event attended by the artist, Emilia Telese.

Ideas Cafe presents 'Life Begins at Land's End'Filmed on Porthcurno beach, Life Begins at Land's End captures a live performance event exploring themes of fertility, birth and life rituals. The performance involved expectant mothers from Penwith, and was part of World Rebirth Day. UK-based Italian artist Emilia Telese created her piece by invitation of renowned artist Michelangelo Pistoletto, and the film was screened at the Louvre as part of his exhibition; Michelangelo Pistoletto: Annee' Un - Le Paradis Sur Terre.

Emilia will also present the world premiere of her 2014 sequel video piece Life Has Begun at Land’s End, and will be joined by some of the women and mothers who took part in the project and made it possible.

The event takes place on Saturday 26th April from 6pm in the Telegraph Museum's new Clore Learning Space and will be followed by a creative networking event until 9pm.
