Cornwall’s internationally renowned lutenist Ben Salfield returns to solo action in the County with a series of dates in March, concluding on Sunday 25th March with a very special programme at Cornwall’s Regimental Museum in Bodmin, commencing at 7.30pm.

Described in international media as “one of the most exciting lutenists of his generation”, he regularly performs and gives masterclasses at venues and festivals across the Continent.

“I will play music by three composers”, explained Ben. “First, by the Spaniard Luis de Milán, published in 1536; then some music from the early 1600s by the greatest English composer of his day, John Dowland. The second half will feature sonatas and stand-alone pieces by the amazing baroque composer Silvius Leopold Weiss, that were written in the first half of the 18th century. I can’t wait to appear solo in Cornwall again, and I think Cornwall's Regimental Museum makes a wonderful little venue. Hopefully all the locals will come and give their support, and will be interested to see me playing on the unique 10-course lutar, which is the only one in the world!”

Whatever you do this Spring, do not miss this rare opportunity to hear a LIVE Ben Salfield solo recital in Cornwall! Tickets are £10, or £8 online. For further information, visit
